MarketLinx Secure

Available for MLXchange and TEMPO 5.0 MLS customers, MarketLinx Secure gives MLS staff the power to automatically restrict access to the MLS system based on individual behavior and usage patterns.

How it Works

Once MLS staff have created their custom security policy, the program tracks all system usage on an account-by-account basis for signs of suspicious or abusive behavior, which can include:

Accessing the system from too many different IP addresses
Accessing the system from too many different computers (MAC addresses)
Simultaneous logins of the same User ID
Exceeding data export quotas

When the program detects an infraction, the system automatically takes the appropriate action based on the MLS security policy. These actions can include:

Forcing the user to change passwords
Forcing the user to answer one or more password reminder questions
Account suspension – the account can be reactivated using a special code that is automatically sent to the account owner’s e-mail address
Account suspension for a predetermined period of time
Indefinite account suspension – the owner must contact MLS staff

MLS staff can use MarketLinx Secure to create a security policy that automatically applies a series of escalating restrictions based on the nature and frequency of each infraction.
